What is the WebCake?
WebCake is an adware program
that pretends to be a helpful browser extension to cheat lots of computer
users. Usually, WebCake is installed bundled with various media players, PDF
creators and other applications that you get from some websites for free.
WebCake will make a mess once it sneaks into your operating system.
First of all, WebCake displays
a great deal of pop-up ads to promote a variety of websites and commodities.
Though you try to use other browsers, these pop-ups still flood your computer
screen. This adware seeks to utilize attractive coupons and discounts to
mislead you into sponsored websites. Then WebCake is able to collect network
traffic for sponsors and get revenue.
Additionally, these annoying
pop-ups will spread a bunch of dangerous viruses like ransom viruses, browser
hijackers and Trojan horses to destroy your computer. What is more, WebCake is
able to track your activities on the Internet and collect your browser
histories. Subsequently, the collected information can be used by third parties
for marketing purposes. In conclusion, WebCake is not a

Manually Remove WebCake Step by Step (Manual Removal Guide)
To remove WebCake from your
compute completely, you need to find out all malicious files and registry
entries of this WebCake. During the removal process you should be more
attentive and careful. If you mistakenly remove a certain system files, you
will meet with some error messages.
Step 1: Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete
at the same time to open Task Manager. Disable the process of WebCake.
Step 2: Open Start Menu and
then go to Control Panel. Then use the search bar to look for Folder Option.
Check Show hidden files and folders and uncheck Hide protected operating system
files (Recommended) in the View tab of Folder Option window.
Step 3: Delete all files
related to WebCake as below:

Step 5: Remove additional
unwanted programs from your browser
For Google Chrome
1. Click the icon that looks
like a spanner and navigate to Tools > Extensions to remove all unknown
extensions by clicking Bin button.
2. Click the icon that looks
like a spanner and click Settings > Appearances > Show Home button >
click Change button to reset your homepage.
For Mozilla Firefox
1. Click
Ctrl+Shift+A at the same time to open Add-ons page > Extensions to remove
all unknown extensions.
2. Click the
Firefox button > Help > Troubleshooting Information > click on Reset
Firefox button.
For Internet Explorer
1. Click Tools
> Manage Add-ons > Toolbars and Extensions to remove all unknown
extensions.
Step 6: Reboot your computer
